IMF is back in business

Just a few months ago there were only a handful of countries in advanced program discussions with the International Monetary Fund.

As this chart from UBS shows, things have changed swiftly and substantially.

Future candidates for IMF programs include Estonia, Lithuania and Bulgaria. Possibles, but less likely are Vietnam and Sri Lanka, according to UBS economist Jonathan Anderson.
